The loggerhead sea turtle, scientifically known as the Caretta caretta, is a species of oceanic turtle distributed throughout the world. An adult loggerhead measures about 90 centimetres in length and weighs approximately 135 kilograms. It has yellow to brown skin with a reddish brown carapace.
